Birds on Texel

Admire birds in their natural habitat

Spoonbills, sandwich terns, birds of prey, waders, owls, cuckoos, nightingales, wheatears … Many birds love spending – a short or longer period of – time on Texel. With its varied landscape, North Sea coast and Waddenzee coast, Texel offers many breeding opportunities and food to a lot of bird species. The island is also hugely important to many migratory birds. So, opportunities galore to admire these stunning, unique birds in their natural habitat.
