Everyone looks forward to their holidays. That can be a distant journey or a fun weekend getaway to our lovely island Texel. But for us, holidays are so much more than that, because holidays are our business. Working in the recreation industry is challenging and diverse: after all, you are working for the relaxation and enjoyment of others! Over 500 enthusiastic employees at De Krim work hard every season to offer our guests a welcoming reception and personal service.

Typically Texel

De Krim is a typical Texel company with a remarkable history and a unique philosophy: From Texel, for Texel! In 1969, a group of enthusiastic people from Texel, from the local doctor to a farmer from Eierland, founded De Krim. They saw the importance of tourism for North Texel and the need to keep this industry in their own hands. The potential and development of (North) Texel was of primary importance to those who launched De Krim — a philosophy that is undiminished today at the company! This is reflected in our choice of suppliers, our personnel and our support of social and cultural activities on Texel. This philosophy is underpinned by the shareholders, most of whom are from Texel. They focus not only on the results achieved, but attach particular importance to the continuity of the business and what De Krim Texel means to the Texel community.

From campsite to villa park

The original founders will have been pleased. Almost half a century after De Krim Texel was founded, it has nine commercial operations: Holiday Park De Krim, Camping Loodsmansduin, Camping Kogerstrand, Camping De Shelter, Villa Park De Koog (to be opened in the summer of 2019), Hotel Molenbos, Bungalow Park ’t Hoogelandt, Residentie Californië, Golf Course De Texelse and the Events Hall!
All in all, we have a lot to be proud of. But we still have great ambitions! To achieve these ambitions, we need you!

*We have temporary accommodation available for trainees, weekend and holiday workers. Ask for the conditions at the P&O department.
