Markets on Texel

Throughout the year there are all kinds of nice markets to be found in the villages on Texel. There is a lively weekly market in Den Burg every Monday morning, and on different days throughout the year there are car boot markets in De Koog and barn markets in Oosterend. Visit a summer market in July and August, go to an autumn market in the autumn, or if you are on the island during the holidays you can visit a Christmas or winter market. A wonderful way to spend your time for everyone!

Summer markets

In July and August there is a lot of entertainment in the villages of the island. Every Tuesday there is a fair in De Koog, every Wednesday there is a summer market in Den Burg, every Thursday there is the Durpermarkt in De Cocksdorp and Hoornder Thursday in Den Hoorn, and every Friday there is the Harbour Market in Oudeschild.

Autumn Markets

There are also lovely markets in the autumn where you can stroll around and get into a real autumnal mood. Visit, for example, the autumn market in De Waal or in Den Burg.

Christmas and winter markets

During one of the cosiest times of the year you can also stroll through the streets and enjoy the atmospheric Christmas and winter markets. Come and visit the Christmas market in Oosterend and be surprised by the beautiful Anton Pieck style, or pay a visit to the winter market in Den Burg.
