Texel is a popular destination during the summer holidays. It is pleasantly busy on the island then. Texel has a good policy of managing the crowds, so there are still plenty of quiet places to be found on the island. The crowded beaches we know from the mainland are certainly not here. However, it is wise to book your accommodation or camping pitch in time and expect some waiting time at the ferry during high season.
