Everyone looks forward to their holidays. That can be a distant journey or a fun weekend getaway to our lovely island Texel. But for us, holidays are so much more than that, because holidays are our business. Working in the recreation industry is challenging and diverse: after all, you are working for the relaxation and enjoyment of others! Over 500 enthusiastic employees at De Krim work hard every season to offer our guests a welcoming reception and personal service.
Typically Texel
De Krim is a pure Texel company with a remarkable history and a unique philosophy: From Texel, for Texel! In 1969, a group of enthusiastic people from Texel, from the local doctor to a farmer from Eierland, founded De Krim. They saw the importance of tourism for North Texel and the need to keep this industry in their own hands. The potential and development of (North) Texel was of primary importance to those who launched De Krim — a philosophy that is undiminished today at the company! This is reflected in our choice of suppliers, our personnel and our support of social and cultural activities on Texel. This philosophy is underpinned by the shareholders, most of whom are from Texel. They focus not only on the results achieved, but attach particular importance to the continuity of the business and what De Krim Texel means to the Texel community.

From campsite to villa park
The original founders will have been pleased. Almost half a century after De Krim Texel was founded, it has nine commercial operations: Holiday Park De Krim, Camping Loodsmansduin, Camping Kogerstrand, Camping De Shelter, Villa Park De Koog, Hotel Molenbos, Bungalow Park ’t Hoogelandt, Residentie Californië, Golf Course De Texelse and the Events Hall!
All in all, we have a lot to be proud of. But we still have great ambitions! To achieve these ambitions, we need you!

Good accommodation available
At De Krim Texel, we find it important that our trainees, weekend and holiday workers can live in pleasant surroundings. This is why we offer temporary accommodation where you can live in pleasant surroundings with other trainees and holiday workers. Even if you move to Texel for a job, it is sometimes possible to stay temporarily in a staff house. Ask the P&O department for the conditions.
Childcare arrangement
We believe it is important that our employees can easily combine the care for their child(ren) and their work. We therefore n therefore provide high-quality childcare on Texel and reimburse part of the childcare costs. De Krim Texel has a partnership with Kinderopvang Olmenhoeve.
Lease bike
At De Krim Texel, employees can advantageously cycle to work every day using a lease bicycle scheme. The Texel landscape naturally lends itself perfectly to this. De Krim Texel's bicycle plan offers an attractive (tax) benefit of up to 35%.
Free fitness and swimming
At De Krim Texel, health and vitality of our employees are paramount. That is why we offer free access to our swimming pool and gym to all our employees. As a permanent employee, you always get free access to both facilities. Free fruit is also available at all our work locations.
Travel expenses reimbursement
For employees who live outside Texel, we reimburse the boat and you are eligible for compensation of travel expenses. In this way, we want to make it accessible for everyone to work and enjoy island life.
The Krim Academy
At De Krim Texel, we have an eye for the personal development of our employees. That is why we offer more than 150 training courses at De Krim Academy, including hospitality training, basic German courses and personal development training. Our employees have unlimited and free access to these training courses. With De Krim Academy, you can improve your skills and knowledge and take your career to the next level.
Personal Learning and Development Programme
The Personal Learning and Development Programme (PLOT) is for all our employees who want to grow and develop and have been employed for at least a year. Not only is it a way to give something back, but it also allows our employees to follow their passions and develop other competences. "Four hours a month we can do paid volunteer work; we do that for various organisations, including Omring. By the way, it is not compulsory, but everyone is wildly enthusiastic. Volunteering offers something for everyone. I had never done voluntary work before, but I really like it. As a management trainee, I spend a lot of time in the office.
