TOP 10 - Frequently Asked Questions 

Included in the rent of a villa, bungalow, chalet and apartment:
Booking fees, bed linen for the 1st person, VAT and final cleaning.

Not included in the rent are compulsory extra charges:
Local authority charges, bed linen from the 2nd person onwards. 

One of the optional extras available is our cancellation insurance. 

You can pay the full amount at once or choose to pay in 2 instalments. We charge an extra (‘payment convenience’) fee for the service of paying in instalments.

If you want to take your pet(s) on vacation with you, you can indicate this directly when selecting your accommodation or camping pitch. Our offer will then be filtered and only accommodations and/or camping fields where your pet is welcome will be shown. The additional costs are shown on your booking overview when you make the reservation.

A maximum of 2 pets are welcome per accommodation/ pitch unless otherwise stated. If you wish to come with more pets, please contact us.

Pets welcome:

  • Holiday park De Krim: there are accommodations of all types where pets are welcome and those that are pet-free
  • Campsite De Krim: on all pitches pets are welcome
  • Hotel Molenbos: in all rooms, pets are welcome, max. 1 pet per room
  • Villapark De Koog: in all accommodations pets are welcome
  • Bungalow park 't Hoogelandt: there are accommodations where pets are welcome and those that are pet-free
  • Campsite Kogerstrand: there are equipped tents and pitches where pets are welcome and which are pet-free
  • Campsite Loodsmansduin: on all pitches pets are welcome, there are chalets and furnished tents where pets are welcome and which are pet-free
  • Campsite De Shelter: on all pitches pets are welcome

Camping Kogerstrand: Hiker's huts
Camping Loodsmansduin: Hiker's cabins

Listed below are the check-in and check-out times of your accommodation/camping pitch. On your arrival day you are welcome to register and make use of the park facilities before check in time. You can also use the facilities on your departure day. 

  • Bungalows, family villas, chalets, apartments, villas, furnished tents and lodges:
    Check-in: from 15:00. Checkout: no later than 10:00.
  • Hotel and hotel chalets:
    The rooms are available from 15:00. Checkout is at 11:00. 
  • Camping pitch:
    Your pitch is available from 13:00 and must be vacated by 11:00.

You can create an account with the email address you used to make your booking.

  • Week: Friday to Friday incl. or Monday to Monday incl. At Campsite De Krim, a one-week stay in the high season runs from Saturday to Saturday incl.
  • Midweek: Monday to Friday incl.
  • Weekend: Friday to Monday incl.  

* Arrival time may vary, depending on your chosen accommodation.

You will receive a preliminary confirmation. Once payment is received in full, you will receive final confirmation.

Within 14 days after booking, your booking can be cancelled free of charge, but only if your date of arrival is not (yet) within 28 days. It is not possible to cancel a reservation that was made 28 days or less before your arrival. 

Starting from 14 days after creating your reservation, the costs of cancellation is as follows:
- over three months before starting date 15% of the agreed upon price
- within three to two months before starting date 50% of the agreed upon price
- within two to one month before starting date 75% of the agreed upon price
- within one month before starting date 90% of the agreed upon price
- On the day of starting date 100% of the agreed upon price. 

In addition, you will pay a €26.20 cancellation fee.

We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, or to participate in the cancellation fund. Read the terms and conditions here. If you completed your payment with a recreation voucher, the travel sum will be repaid as a recreation voucher as well.

The Municipality of Texel charges a tourist tax per night’s stay. You can find these extra charges listed in your booking overview.

Students visiting Texel as part of a school trip e.g. study week are exempt from paying tourist tax.
