Texel is an ideal holiday destination with a dog. There is plenty of space and nature. Dogs are allowed to run free on many parts of Texel's beaches (see instructions on site). Want to grab a terrace after a walk? Many restaurants and beach pavilions have a drinking bowl with fresh water ready for your dog.
Camping with your dog on Texel
Taking your dog to a campsite on Texel? There are many different dogfriendly campings on Texel. For example, camping Loodsmansduin is surrounded by woods and is therefore the perfect place for long walks with your dog. Campsite Kogerstrand is the place for all beach lovers, as it is located directly on the beach and also offers special places where you can stay with your dog. Dogs are also welcome at De Shelter campsite. This small-scale campsite is close to the beach, the forest and the Dunes National Park. The campsite is a sheltered and spacious grassy campsite, which also makes it very suitable for camping with your dog!
Cottage on Texel with your dog
Looking for a cottage on Texel to stay with your dog? That's no problem either. De Krim Texel offers several types of cottages where dogs are welcome. Whether you choose a cosy bungalow, a luxury villa, a hotel room or a comfortable chalet, there are plenty of options to choose from. Some bungalows even have a large enclosed garden so that your dog(s) can roam freely here too.

Dogs welcome!
Dogs are very welcome at De Krim Texel. Our parks are well equipped for your holiday with your dog. There are special off-leash areas and we provide poop bags so you can easily clean up after your dog.
Special Dogwash
If your dog is dirty after a day playing on the beach, there are dog washing facilities at the various parks and at Holiday Park De Krim there is even a spe cial Dogwash. Here you can easily rinse your dog with warm water, wash him with shampoo or give him a tick treatment.
No fireworks on New Year’s Eve!
For many dogs, New Year’s Eve can be quite traumatic because of all the fireworks. Campsite Loodsmansduin is completely fireworks-free during the New Year’s Eve celebrations. The campsite lies in the widest row of dunes on Texel and is surrounded by nature. You won't be bothered by fireworks here, so swap the fireworks stress for a lovely trip to Texel!

Your faithful four-legged friend is part of your family and of course you would like to take him with you. That's no problem! Your dog is welcome in almost all accommodations of De Krim Texel (max. 2 per accommodation).
Frequently Asked Questions
If you want to take your pet(s) on vacation with you, you can indicate this directly when selecting your accommodation or camping pitch. Our offer will then be filtered and only accommodations and/or camping fields where your pet is welcome will be shown. The additional costs are shown on your booking overview when you make the reservation.
A maximum of 2 pets are welcome per accommodation/ pitch unless otherwise stated. If you wish to come with more pets, please contact us.

You can view all of the accommodations where your dog is welcome.
Dogs are permitted on the beaches on Texel and your dog may run off the lead on large sections of the beaches. On monitored beach areas and on the nudist beaches at Den Hoorn and De Cocksdorp, dogs must be on the lead all year round. To the south of pole 8 and between beach poles 12 and 21, dogs must be kept on leads from 1 March to 1 September. This is also indicated on signs.
Do you need to escape the noise of fireworks because your dog is scared of them? Camping Loodsmansduin is completely firework-free! Here, you can stay in one of our comfortable chalets, some of which have their own saunas. You can check availability at Camping Loodsmansduin here .
At Vakantiepark De Krim, there are various bungalows with a fenced garden area. Your dog can enjoy the garden without any risk of running off.
