Fancy an evening full of recognition, tradition and Texel sounds? On Friday 24 April 2026, the Texels Fanfare Festival returns to Evenementenhal Texel. After fourteen years, this beloved event will once again bring the island's music associations together on one stage. Be surprised by a varied programme full of fanfare classics and well-known melodies, performed by local musicians.
Texels Fanfare Festival
Between 1997 and 2012, the festival was an annual musical highlight on Texel. It offered a preview of the spring concerts and traditionally ended with more than 120 musicians together on stage. After the demolition of the Burgemeester De Koninghal, there was no suitable location for this large-scale event.
Thanks to the 100th anniversary of the DEK music association from Den Hoorn, the festival was given a new lease of life. De Krim Texel made the Evenementenhal available as an anniversary gift, bringing back a wonderful Texel tradition.
During this edition, DEK from Den Hoorn, Excelsior from Oosterend, KTF from Den Burg and the Texel Senior Orchestra will each give their own performance. The performances will be interspersed with the SOS Band. From classical fanfare works to arrangements of well-known pop songs, this evening is all about experiencing music together.
