De Krim Texel once again awarded Green Key Gold

We are proud to announce that De Krim Texel has once again been awarded the Green Key Gold certification this year. This is a wonderful recognition for something that feels natural to us: taking good care of Texel, our guests and each other.

For Texel, for our guests, for the future

Sustainability is woven into everything we do. From saving energy and using water carefully to cleaning with environmentally friendly products and making conscious choices in our purchasing: step by step, we are working towards a stay that has as little impact on the island as possible.

In more and more places, we generate our own energy with solar panels. This brings us another step closer to an even greener stay. We also consider sustainability from the very first design stage of new projects: heat pumps, good insulation, solar panels and smart installations ensure that we save energy without compromising on comfort for our guests.

But for us, being sustainable also means being there for Texel. We support local initiatives and charities, donate food where possible and give employees the opportunity to volunteer for the island. Together, we do what we can to keep Texel beautiful and liveable, now and in the future.
