Holiday park De Krim on Texel wants to become more sustainable, but an overloaded power grid makes expansion in the conventional way impossible. The park therefore opts for an innovative solution with all-electric holiday chalets that are almost independent of the electricity grid. They use smart technology from SolarEdge to generate, store, convert and distribute solar power. This system maximises self-consumption, storing excess production in home batteries. The SolarEdge Home energy ecosystem is being used on a large scale for the first time in the Netherlands. This sustainable project on Texel marks an important step in the use of solar energy for holiday parks.
De Krim Texel is taking another big step in sustainability with the arrival of a new bio-digester.
A brand new outdoor swimming pool has opened at Camping Loodsmansduin!
