New acoustic panels in Event Hall Texel
De Krim Texel continues to invest in the quality of Event Hall Texel. Prior to Texelpop 2025, more than 300 acoustic panels were installed. During the event, the effect was immediately audible. The sound is quieter, clearer and more pleasant for artists and visitors alike.
What has changed?
Although the hall already had modern sound, lighting and technical installations, the acoustics were not optimal. The hard ceiling caused disturbing reverberation of sound. This was especially noticeable during performances and lectures.
Floor manager Patrick Zijm explains: ‘The sound kept reverberating, both on stage and in the hall. Even ordinary conversations sounded restless.’
These are similar to the panels in large pop halls and dampen reverberation. This greatly improves intelligibility. ‘You notice the difference immediately,’ says Zijm. ‘Even during a busy bingo, it sounds much quieter and more pleasant now.’
