In October 2022, entrepreneurial magazine Zilte Zaken wrote an article about making De Krim Texel more sustainable. The immediate cause was the replacement of seventy chalets, which had been on De Krim holiday park since 2004, and the sustainability improvements that have been made. Each chalet generates energy, but is also connected to an innovative micro grid system for smart distribution of available energy. In the future, this will also be rolled out at other De Krim Texel parks and exploitations.
