Day of the Sheep
On the land near the Hoornder church the Day of the Sheep will take place again. With this day the organization wants to contribute to the importance of sheep farming on Texel. Various sheep breeds can be seen, competitions are held and demonstrations given. Sheep will be shorn, milked and trimmed.

Activities
Besides the market stalls filled by wool entrepreneurs and wool hobbyists, there are demonstrations and explanations about the sheep, the sheepskin, the boning of a lamb (in the butcher shop of Den Hoorn) and the landscape formed by sheep farming. There is also sheep milk ice cream.
