Ice-cream farm Labora

At Ice-cream farm Labora, the ice cream is made by hand with milk from own cows. During your visit you can even take a look in the cowshed and see the fully automated milking robot in action. But although this is interesting to see, you will, of course, mainly come for the ice cream. There is a wide variety of flavours which will undoubtedly make it difficult to choose between all these delicacies.

About the Farm

The most delicious Farm of Texel exists since the year 2000. Three years before the Labora Ice Farm was established, the farm was owned by the Rodenburg family. They embarked on an exciting adventure and started up an ice cream factory in addition to dairy farming: Labora! Nowadays, cyclists and walkers stop to enjoy this artisanal ice cream. On summer days, more than a thousand visitors come across the yard. The ice cream is mostly made with regional products. The best among the best is the Strawberry Knoert. This is made from fresh strawberries that are grown at - and supplied by Reuze Aardbei, a fellow farmer. But remember: strawberries do not grow all year round so this runner is only available in season.

Extra text 2: Enjoy the ice cream at the picnic tables in the garden. Besides the delicious ice cream, there is of course more fun at Ijsboerderij Labora . Take a look at the barn where about 120 cows are milked by milking robots. In the garden there is a large bouncy castle, a climbing tower and a slide so the little ones can have a good time. Also come and have a look at the pastureland to spot deers walking, here you can regularly admire little calves.
