Westerduinen

Between De Koog and Den Burg lies the dune area Westerduinen. The area is low in calcium and consists of high dunes and erratic valleys. Various birds nest here, such as the marsh harrier, the rare hen harrier and the short-eared owl. Hawthorns and junipers also grow in the area. Put on your shoes and go for a walk!
