Galloping through the breakers on the Texel beach or a quiet ride through the woods? Several riding schools on Texel of fer rides in the woods and on the beach, but you can also bring your own horse! In the Dennenbos forest, but also in the dunes between De Koog and De Slufter, there are wonderful riding and driving paths.
Beach rides
Riding on the beach is of course a great experience and a wish of many riders. In the winter period, from 1 October to 1 May, horses are allowed on the entire beach of Texel. In the summer season, from 1 May to 1 October, horses are allowed on the designated beaches before sunrise until 10:00 and after sunset from 19:00. This keeps it safe for the horses and the beach guests!
Riding trails
The different riding paths are clearly marked. The footpaths are indicated by signs with a horseshoe and the riding paths are indicated by signs with a rider and a horse.
