Texel is a wonderful destination during the Easter holiday. During Easter, you can see thousands of young lambs frolicking in the Texel meadows. When it comes to the Easter feeling, there’s nothing quite like seeing the lambs outside for the first time. And let’s not forget the Texel Easter Bunny, who hides Easter eggs all over the island. In the forest, in the dunes, in the stables of Novalishoeve ... In De Koog you can even look for the Golden Egg. Here are a few fun tips for your Easter holidays on Texel.
On Texel, the Easter Bunny hides Easter eggs in various places in the forest, the dunes and in the stables of Novalishoeve. The Easter Bunny is great at hiding eggs, so finding them will certainly be a fun challenge. For example at the Bospaviljoen 't Turfveld in De Dennen, Paal 28 in De Cocksdorp or in De Koog. In De Koog you can even look for the Golden Egg. Children can also have their faces painted and get their own bunny ears.
Your Easter holiday will be made even more special by seeing thousands of young lambs frolicking in the meadow. What’s even more fun is cuddling these white, woolly Texel sheep.
And you can do just that at several Texel sheep farms. The lambs love the attention and enjoy being cuddled and stroked. And with a little luck you’ll get to witness a birth during a visit to a sheep farm. Perhaps your (grand)son or (grand)daughter can even give a bottle of warm milk to a lamb!
All cuddled out? Then visit one of the many Easter markets on Texel. There are always several lively markets on Texel around Easter. These are usually accompanied by great music and various fun children's activities.
